Title: aqua park in Ovacik
Post by: sue mac on July 05, 2006, 14:30:13 PM
When we were out in May, we noticed the construction of a small aqua park in Ovacik. workemen were going crazy to have it ready, but a turkish friend told me it wont be ready until next year.  It looked to me like it was on line for opening this summer.  Does anyone have any news or info on this? Many thanks. sue

haha I just asked same question before I read your post. Saw an advert in the paper for it, it looks really nice so assuming it must be open now.

We went last month and it is far better than the one in calis in our opinion. there is four different slides simular to the ones in Calis, in addition there is one where you go down a tube slide into a round drum where you spin round really fast until you tip out into the water and another like a big 'U' shape you get pushed off the top on a ring and fly up the other side really scary!! what a great addition to the area.We used the hotel pool as well which is lovely with a waterfall, and the restaurant is fab as well going back on Sunday so will definitely be going again.  Jen.

I went last week with my daughter. Better than the calis one. Orange slide is best - you go down a sheer drop in an inflatable doughnut - excellent.

The cost is 25ytl for adults & 15ytl for kids. We negotiated 20ytl & 10ytl when we went as there were 17 of us!! Teenagers paid kids price so that was ok. Brilliant day out. The slides close between 12.00 & 13.00pm for the staff to have lunch. Look out for the cake seller at about 3.00pm!! A real treat! (the cakes that is, not the seller!!). The entry price also drops to 20 & 10 ytl after 4.00pm if you just want to spend a couple of hours there. great day out for all.

I also know the guys who run the Grand Ucel but i dont want to be accused of trying to advertise again. The water park is really good for all ages, my 3 year old daughter even had the time of her life as they have a small place for toddlers to play with a tiny water slide. There sister hotel the salhan which is only 2 mins down the road also have a small water park with 3 slides and a play park for the kids. In both hotels the food and service is second to none. Brillant will worth the money and much better than the one in Calis.
