Hi Michael and Margaret. Welcome to the Forum. We too bought in Tasyaka and are Scottish. You'll love having your place in the sun in Fethiye! We flew out 5 times this year - but have to now wait another 5 months:-\
-
Welcome Michael and Margaret to the forum you will love it on here, and you will love your life in turkey I bet you are sorry you left it 15 years, it took us long enough to make our minds up and take the plunge to buy in Turkey but we are absolutely made up now we did. We can go over as many times as we want now until we retire and move over there for good.

Hello Michael n Margaret I know you will enjoy this site as its full of information, and great humour. We also bought near Fethiye after 13 years. We went out there 5 times this year and cannot wait for next spring to come then we will be off again. Happy holidays.

M and M
You will find Fethiye just a wee bit warmer than Scotland but there is snow on the distant mountains but no heather. Enjoy Turkey and I hope everything goes well for you.

hi everybody especially to the locals .we are coming over 4 th jan for one week with friends who also have an appartment in tasyka .wondering if bars and restaurents are open also does efes taste any better in the colder weather hope to see some of you in january M&M
-
Some places closed down in the winter but still plenty of choice. If you don't want to walk far try the Olu Deniz Lokanta just down the road from you next to the Canal, opposite the Otogar.
Efes is always good whatever the weather!:D
-
Used it often remember going in can`t remember coming out good measl`s thank`s for the prompt reply see you soon M&M
-
Michael, at least in winter you don't have to drink your Efes too quickly before it warms up!
