Hi Everyone

Just to let you all know who I am.

Age, don't ask, but "middle aged" would be diplomatic.  Self and partner, Ros, are deeply smitten by Turkey in general and the Fethiye area in particular, thinking seriously of retiring there in a few years time.

Connection with Calis, house being built in Uzumlu.
Reasons for joining forum:

1. To network with people in a similar situation as ourselves.

2. To do some serious brain picking of those further down the line than ourselves.

3. To locate the best (not necessarily the cheapest) places to shop for household kit.

4. To identify the basic information required on things like, security in the winter, pool maintenance, domestic cleaners etc.

That'll do for now, any info. will be much appreciated.

Welcome. I'm not trying to be clever here - but you might get more replies if you post your introduction in the "introduction" string at the top of the page.

By all means pick our brains -- I'm sure you will get lots of questions yourself too.
