Welcome to the forum John and Emma, all i can say about august is take plenty of suncream and aftersun, though i aint ever been in August i believe it gets hot. Alan

Hi John and Emma,  Welcome !  Have a great time in August (hope you like it hot hot hot !).  We are there every August, you will need a pool or beach, lots of suncream and many many cases of cold beer.....!
