Hello everyone,

My name is Thelma Talbot and my husband is Ian.  We have lived in Ovacik now for over three years and love the area and the country. We are retired and don't do much really but I do write a column for the Land of Lights.

My reason for joining this forum is simply down to our amazement at the power this forum really has and the impact it can make to people's lives.  We were unfortunate enough to be burgled last week and our vehicle was stolen.  The vehicle is a Land Rover Discovery and it's Jade green so not a vehicle that can be hidden easily.  Our dear friends Amanda and Mark Clout from Calis posted a plea for help on this site and within hours one of your members had spotted the car in Fethiye and it was undamaged.

I will be contact the person who spotted it personally but I would say that if you, like me, were a skeptic about posting this sort of thing on this forum please think again.  It's probably the most powerful source of help that is available.

Hence we have joined you.

Welcome Thelma and Ian. I too was amazed at the power of this forum - but the internet is such a size reducing medium - we are all so much closer together because of it!!

You friends have probably heard this a thousand times - but they really do have CLOUT!

   no they don't know stole it, seems the car was left to long for finger prints to be taken.
   they have taken lots of pictures of the villa and car, i don't think they will ever find out. but lets hope the catch them.
