Hi Turtle 1961, welcome to the forum. As long as you like Turkey you are more than welcome. Hope you get as much enjoyment from your house in Marmaris a swe do from ours in Calis.

hello!Thank you for your answers! Our house is in Akyaka. Very beautiful place. Actually not really Marmaris but I say Marmaris to everybody cause not everybody knows it. There is a nice web-site about Akyaka but it will look like advertising if i place it here, if you are curious let me know and i will send your pm.

Hi Turtle. I have only introduced myself on here very recently too but I have been reading long enough for the regulars to be familiar names to me. It is a very friendly forum and well run. Like Puma, my one and only experience of Marmaris was about 15 years ago. I enjoyed my holiday there very much. I remember having a super meal in a fish restaurant on the front bit - turn left at the soldier on the horse statue and keep walking until you get to near the end of the prom and it's there - that's how I remember it anyway - what with the climate shift and all, it might have moved a bit since then :-) So, a big warm welcome from me too.

We go to Marmaris often. Akyaka has nothing like Tansas or Migros, so our usual trip is: Marmaris Marina, a long walk there, then we eat something, then we do shopping in Tansas and then go back home. It takes time to get to Marmaris but here in Akyaka our house has breathtaking sea view, thats what i was dreaming about
