Yes, I'm waiting to escape - in every way!!! I hope to give up my job and move to Calis in October so I am looking forward to meeting lots of new folk.  Does anyone know of anything in Calis available for long term rental [say 6 months initially] from October, furnished, close to beach and with a pool?  Not much to ask, eh, but if I'm escaping the UK, I may as well enjoy it!!!  :) :)

Hello and welcome to the forum, you can use allthe pools in the hotels for the price of a beer, without any maintainence costs. Alan

I don't think I would want to trust a small hotel pool in the winter because there's little customer throughput to justify the cost of adding chemicals and making sure the pool is maintained to the correct standard. Just a personal view :-)

I doubt if you will want to swim much for the 6 months commencing Nov 07 - its a bit cold in a pool.

Hi Pashka - and everyone else.  OK point taken about the pool and swimming at that time of year - I'm obviously getting carried away by the excitement of the Great Escape!!!  I'm still looking for an apartment rental though ........ anyone?
