Hi Folks,
I Live in Holland so is the visum into Turkey still 10 pound?? I'm British and proud!!!![:X]
-
Yes - if you still have a British passport & use it to travel to Turkey.
Other half travels on his US passport - so pays $20US - they won't accept £10 from him, even though he travels from UK.
-
Yes , it is the pssport that is charged for and is based on the charges each country charges Turkish Citizens to visit that country.
At least now you can use a £20 note for two people or even use a credit card.

Hi canalman, when did this change ie £20 for two and accepting credit cards? if you have any details, for others on the forum it would help a lot of members.

Don't know about Dalaman specifically, but at Istanbul you can pay in GBP, EUR, USD or YTL and on one occasion last year, I even seen them accept a Scottish tenner! There's also no longer any issues with giving change, as long as they have the particular currency in their till.

As far as I can remember it has been the case for a couple of years. When standing in the queue I have seen this happen at Dalaman and I am sure there is a comment about credit cards on the list of visa charges posted next to the visa counters. I hope other members have noticed as well.

Ps I can only guess that this change came about when Dalaman was put into private ownership.

2 Canadian friends arrived 2 weeks ago and were charged $65 each!

Canadians pay 60USD or 45EUR for a 90 day visa.
As regards the "change" issue, nothing has altered at the new Dalalman terminal in respect of visa's etc, they were and still are government employees.
