Might be going to turkey in october.
just wondering if any one has been befor and what is open/closed?
-
There's still quite a lot open including ourselves. Nice time of the year as it's still very pleasant during the day but you might need a jumper at night.
-
Thanks :)
what are chances of it raining.
i should be going between 5 - 15th.
-
Not much chance really. You might be unlucky and get a couple of cloudy days but it should be just fine. Don't blame me though if it rains for the whole time you are here :-))
-
aha okay then.

-
You will find the majority of bars and restaurants open, but not so busy as they are in July/August.
-
Thats really good.

Last year October had the worst rain for 50 years or so I was assured, visibility was 100m simply because of the volume of rain, I have lived in the Far East in the Monsoon, and equably comparable. Also I was told that it rains on a regular basis in October - but not every day , and not anything as frequently as the UK, but still warm during the day, but jeans and a fleece for the evening.
-
that hard rain is slightly worring.
but hopfully going in the middle of the month should be okay and not to wet
-
:)Same as Sandrats last October was a nightmare, can't see it being that bad again. ;)
-
:) Hi KL I was in the area Oct 2005, it was lovely sunbathing weather during the day, most days, much cooler in the evenings, glad I took me socks & fleece :D ;)
-
sunbathing is October sounds a treat.
if the weather is a bit nicer in October than it has been this uk summer I'll be fine
-
We were there last year 8th - 15th October and one night the storms were horrendous, and bus shelters overturned trees uprooted etc. Just be prepared for the worst!! Some days were really hot though.

:|
that's so weird.
but apparently turkey has only had like 9 days of rain all year.
so hopefully it will stay like that.
-
I remember that stormy night, I had never seen lightning like it - just a constant battery of paparazzi for hours on end and thunder that rolled and rolled without gaps. Pretty amazing really.
-
We have been in early to mid October for the last two years and, to be honest, I'm having a job to think of anywhere that was closed. After all the season is officially til 31st October. Also going this year, 7th to 21st.
Ken :D

Sounds great can't wait for the 10 day break now :)
-
Ive been to Calis in October. The mornings were great for sunbathing, but from about noon onwards, rain and thunderstorms. The majority of places to eat, drink, were still open.
-
We always come in October, managed to miss the bad weather last year, but can honestly say that apart from one year when there were a few thunderstorms we have only ever had odd showers. Maybe we were just lucky! It is a lovely time of year, and as long as you pack a brolly and a cardigan you should be fine. Enjoy!

I will make sure to bring a few warmer clothes than skimpy dresses and shorts this time then :)
