Title: Mobile top-up via online banking

I have noticed that on my Garanti bank online site I can top up my mobile (if I give them my number). If anyone has done this will this allow me to top up every 3 months online and keep my phone active? or do I still need to activate the phone in turkey for this to happen.

hi don, i have a garanti account and noticed the same, i've not tried the system yet but i have have set my turkcell phone up for roaming, so i can use the phone in the u.k. which hopefully will allow me to keep the phone active and topped up.just returned from calis and the roaming works.

Hi tracey and kevan, what i didn't want to do was top it up every three months with the online banking during the winter but then come back to find it deactivated because i hadn't used it. How did you get your phone set up for roaming and have tried topping it up from the UK?
