Title: HSBC

This may have been posted before but:

If you are a HSBC/First Direct customer in the UK, you can may withdrawals from the HSBC cash points in lira or sterling without paying any charges!!

I discovered this at the end of our 5 week stay - wish I'd discovered it at the beginning as I made loads of withdrawals from cash pints while I was out. Will know for next time.

I believe if you are transfering large amounts of money, they also only charge £10 for the transfer if transfering to HSBC in Turkey.

I wouldn't mind a pint of cash. (http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/ernaehrung/food-smiley-015.gif)(http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/lachen/laughing-smiley-002.gif)

Seriously thanks for the info. I am thinking of opening an HSBC account in the hopes of making cheaper transfers out to Turkey.
