Title: Hi All...new to area
Post by: tim-emel on October 01, 2007, 19:09:44 PM: Hello all, Tim and Emel here, just moved permanently to Fethiye currently renting a lovely apartment in Karagozler 2 overlooking the bay, hills and marina.... :) We have been here a month already and checked out alot of the beaches and other places of interest....Emel is Turkish and has just returned to her native country after 22 years in the UK, me....after spending one year back in the UK after 5 years in Spain, I couldn't wait to relocate to warmer climes...lol

I found this site on google and must say that it is very helpful and interesting. WE are here looking for opportunities, I have some idea's already and would like to canvass your opinions at the right time......anyway, good site, helpful people and two more interested members......Hopefully catch up with some of you soon.

Hi puma, thanx for the welcome, arriving in the UK at 18 and during those 22 years bringing up two lovely daughters (alone) who are both at universities in London now, made those years tough for Emel but yep, she did enjoy her time in the UK, especially living in the lovely town of Cheltenham for the last 5 years, very different from London!!

Emel comes from Izmir originally and is always going on about the difference in prices between here and there.....lol....So I think a trip to Izmir is on the cards very soon...Even though Emel is Turkish because of her accent she is treated almost as much like a foreigner as I am,(she don't like that), you should see her give the traders grief over their prices.....I just stand back.....

When it comes to opportunities, I've built and sold a few companies over the years, last one was Property Company (yes property..lol) in Spain....No real interest with getting involved in property here though....something will come up, it always does....I have an eye for such things.... ;)

Hope you find the opportunities you are looking for - probably more restricted than Spain, but I'm sure if you are determined you will find what you want. Good luck to you both :)
