Post by: sooty on October 03, 2007, 09:12:19 AM: Is there any teenagers 16+ who live out here permanently in the Fethiye area, my daughter's best friend has gone back to the UK her other friends have gone back to school, (she wont got back) and she is forever moping around the house, glad to hear from you just to get her motivated again.

Post by: wouwie on October 13, 2007, 12:52:54 PM: Yes, I know im lucky! My parent have a house in calis, so i can stay in there house. Normally i stay there 5 weeks (just for holiday). But now I wanne try 1 year, also i need a workpermit.
And i wanne learn turkish (I speak a little bit turkish, but not enough), if i live there it will be easy for me to learn it.

I guess you could do that for the whole year just go to rhodes every 3 months or something.
Nah just going to do a 10 week holiday.

i cant get workpermit on a touristvisa.. so i have to buy it

I can take touristvisa, and go to rhodes every 90 days.. but than i need to work illigal (black)
if the police catch me than i cant go into turkey for 5 years!

Is visa/work permit expensive?
My aunt lives over there but never spoke to her about the permits.

1 year visa: 500 YTL
2 year visa: 1000 YTL
until 5 years..

i dont know how much a workpermit is, because i cant arrange that.. first i need to have a boss, and he needs to arrange it!!

So i will have my visa in march, and the saison starts in april/may i think, so will be good hopefully

You don't automatically get one with a residency visa and you have to do a job that wouldn't go to a Turk, which there are very few of. Normally things like teaching english (which you need a TEFL for) but if you're thinking of bar work or anything touristy, you've not got a chance of getting a work permit im afraid!

Post by: sami on October 16, 2007, 14:27:36 PM: if your looking to work abroad, try somewhere like Greece,you can work there without a problem, i wouldnt risk working in turkey without a visa if you get caught out you could get in alot of trouble, working permits are very hard to get as jenny said. Holidays are so much better than moving abroad to work, my view is i work here save up and escape out there to relax without worrying bout money....:D

first I will buy a visa for 1 year. I'm a model here in holland, so I can go to turkish modelagency in antalya, and i hope i get workpermit with that.
I allready did a big job in Istanbul (commercial). Than i have sometimes job, and holiday!! :D but maybe they don't like me ;) than i have to find something else!!
