Cant find answer on search so ,i have just read that you have to have a residence permit to have satellite is this right i got this from the banks web site.

what it actually said was banks can set up direct debits for sat tv and telephone if you have a residents permit.

You need to have a tax number to open a bank a/c but you don't need to be resident to get a tax number. Can't see why direct debits should be a problem once you have a bank account but not entirely sure.....

We pay all our bills by Direct Debit, apart from water bill ofcourse. No problems so far and we didn't have a residency permit when we set them up just a tax number.
