Hello. Wow, this is great. Another person just told us about this forum, so here I am. I'm Marcia. My husband, Ron, and I just moved into our place 3 months ago. We're just outside Uzumlu.  Survived the storms (barely!) and enjoying the last few days of sunshine and the views of snow on the mountains.  I hope I'll get to meet people and get tips about life in this unpredictable country.  Gorusuruz...

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes.  Don't get to an internet often, so I am slow on the uptake.  Yes, we are "permanent".  Whatever that is.  Just taking it day by day for now... 8)

Hi Marcia & Ron,
Welcome to the forum & Uzumlu. If you want to meet lots of others we are having a social night on Friday 30th Nov at the Camlik Restaurant (on the right, set back in the trees, just after the 1st Petrol Station as you enter Uzumlu.)
Starts at 7pm with bring & buy then a quiz and auction. Food available also and we are raising funds for the fees connected with trying to fight the cement factory.
Hope to meet you on Friday.
