Title: Dolmus cometh
Post by: miaspyro on December 18, 2007, 09:50:20 AM: As of yesterday we have a dolmus, times will be confirmed as and when someone finds out exactly, but I have been told 1 a hour in the winter and every 15 mins during the summer. It is only going as far as green valley and waits by the bridge. Good news at last.

Our apt is just behind the Green Valley complex. Also look forward to chatting to you all and keeping up to date with what is happening in the area. Dolmus was a bit up-in-the-air last week but has settled down now :)

Service is labelled Tasyaka, Deliktas yesil vadi.
From Deliktas leaves front of Green valley aparts at 48mins past the hour. Goes to Karagozler.
Leaves Karagozler at 20mins past the hour. Goes to Tasyaka via Deliktas.
PLEASE NOTE: On approach to Deliktas turn-off, Dolmus driver asks (in Turkish) if anyone wants to go to Deliktas. If no-one replies the dolmus goes straight past and upto Tasyaka.[:(!]
Service will become more frequent when more people use it.
Last dolmus is 16:48 (I think)

Route through Fethiye is same as Tasyaka-Karagozler dolmus.
Turns to Deliktas at ARPI heads up main road, turns right, turns left at canal and follows main road past Irem bufe up to Green Valley apts, turns and heads back along same route.

Now it's across the road from said-pole!

Return journey is same as Tasyaka dolmus. Follows one-way system coming out of fethiye. It still says Tasyaka in the window and coming up to GV is only an irritating diversion for them - they then carry on as normal upto Tasyaka, turn around and become a "normal" tasyaka dolmus until 1 hour later.

Post by: chewyturk on January 12, 2008, 21:27:07 PM: Hasten to add ALL THE DOLMUS SAY TASYAKA IN THE WINDOW - Deliktas dolmus says DELIKTAS ASWELL.
When dolmus gets to lights to turn for ARPI, driver will most likely say "Deliktas'a giden var mi" - say VAR or EVET. Or just try to sit at the front and say something with the word Deliktas in it at an appropriate time !!!!!!
AB - Not too sure about the photo !?

Re: the Dolmus - we have been told today - via email that we have this dolmus in service - but only during the week and not the weekend - is this true?????

As they have taken a few weeks to actually tell us all this - they may have it wrong - please advise xx

Not noticed a break in the service but i'll confirm for you at the weekend !!

BTW: Although the council have told them to terminate at GV, some of the drivers are going past and round by Forest Hills to try and find someone to actually use the service - good news if you live up there !!

Post by: chewyturk on January 23, 2008, 23:21:26 PM: Dolmus didn't come this weekend. Spoke to driver who said that they were still "testing the water" for how busy the service is. A lot of the drivers don't want to do the Deliktas route because hardly anyone uses it. If it doesn't pick-up we are in danger of losing it !!!
That being said - hopefully when it becomes more regular in summer (once an hour is not much use to anyone) it will get busier.....
