Post by: elaina on January 07, 2008, 21:30:48 PM: Hi there everyone. My name is Elaine and I have had an apartment in Uzumlu for just over a year. Wish I had seen this forum before as I have found it very interesting and I have certainly learned a lot. Anyway I am looking forward to joining in. :)

Yes it does seem strange doesn't it. I know Tadworth quite well. I actually live just off Sutton Common Road not far from the Woodstock, so you probably know it as well. I am next in Turkey on 10th March for one week - managed to get a cheap flight from Gatwick.

Hi there Calvin. Yes I have seen the Uzumlu section and it was actually from there that I first became aware of the cement factory plans, needless to say when I was there in Sept/Oct I attended the protest meeting in the cafe in the square. I certainly hope that they do not go ahead with it.
