Title: Car tax payment
Post by: mercury on January 16, 2008, 16:08:45 PM: Hi. I know that there is a Bank in town where I can pay my 2nd installment of car tax but where is the tax office to do this?

But is it not possible to buy a years car tax ???.

Post by: wickwilly on January 17, 2008, 18:53:36 PM: If you are walking along the seafront from Fethiye towards Calis you carry on past Yakamoz restaurant and the 3 0r 4 new ones until the road heads away from the coast. The tax office is the large bulding on your left about 100 metres from the sea.

Post by: KKOB on January 18, 2008, 10:33:46 AM: You should also be aware that if you've been snapped by any cameras jumping red lights or been caught in speed traps and not been stopped, this is when you find out. They catch up with you when you go to pay your car tax and slap the penalty on then.

Hasn't happened to me, but a friend got a bit of a shock when he got fines that totaled almost double his annual car tax !

Post by: mercury on January 21, 2008, 20:53:44 PM: Thanks guys. I found the Tax office with no trouble. I would just remind everyone that they only accept cash as I found out after standing in line for over an hour!!! No penalties thank goodness. What a good driver I must be??????
