I said I'd take some, and here they are :)
There is still plenty to be done, but these will give an idea of how things are going to look:

If you need a drink after seeing all this, I can recommend Marias or Josephs Bar:

It is finished!
All I know is in time for the new season, which normally means end of April.
-
Very posh ! Guess us country bumpkins from Uzumlu will have to change out of our overalls when we visit from now on..... ;) :)
-
Thanks for the photos Keith.Should look nice when its finished.Lets hope thats before the golf course and ski resort:D
-
They certainly get their finger out when they have to!
We walked by there on Friday last and some guy was still welding the steel together on some of the supports and others were tiling roofs.
We are now back in the good old place we call home for the time being, but it is still great to see the pictures Keith, so keep it up
Regards
Colin and Denise

yeah. well said jukebox:D

Nice to see how things are progressing. Looking good and I have no objection to progress but it is a shame to lose the 'rustic' charm that attracted so many of us to Calis in the first place. Someone once said to me that 'nothing is forever' - how true.
-
It became 'rusty charm'

Have they done anything with the rusty bridge over the river at the end - or is that escaping renovations???
:)
-
The rusty bridge has a new chequerplate deck on the pedestrian bit. I don't know if the budget will stretch to another coat of fish pond vegetation green paint though :)

Ah but does it still twang and groan when you walk on it, giving me heart failure :o :o
-
Yes, it's 'rustic charm' apparently.

I increasingly struggle to convince myself that its not my bones that are twanging and groaning rather than the bridge
-
Looks nice and sunny, my old bones need that just now:D thanks for the pics Keith.

Here are a few I took last week. I think it will look pretty darn nice when completed.

thanks Steve, I agree
-
Not a bar in sight :o ;)
-
Very nice but I think I will miss the headroom and open aspect of the old Mangal Restaurant. Assuming that there is to be a new Mangal Restaurant on site.
-
How tall are you :D
I thought the Mangal was one of the worst looking sprawls in Calis, each to their own ;)
-
I thought it had rustic charm. :)
I would have put a smiley in above but I don't know how.
I'm not especially tall I just like space and I always had good food and service there.
-
Smiley added with the compliments of the management ;)
-
Thanks Scunner
