Hello everyone. I'm Essexboy and pleased to be joining the forum. Always an interesting set of discussions and useful information and helps me while away the rainy lunch hour by seeing what's going on in Calis. We bought in summer and at present we're using the apartment as a holiday home whilst we see about relocating permanently in the next few years:D Looking forward to contributing as well as reading and looking forward also to Easter, Summer and October in Calis

Pookie: Not too far from you - close to the airport that doesn't fly anywhere we want to go to! still it's great fun driving past it and then another 55 miles to Gatwick or Heathrow

Hi Nigel and welcome to the CBF.
 We are not far away from you (near Braintree)and as you mentioned it is a shame you cant get certain flights from Stansted,we wanted 10 days in May so Gatwick it has to be.I would think availability of flights will improve,things change as last year we were hoping for a budget airline to fly to Dalaman and along comes Easyjet,allbeit from Gatwick  :)

As an Essex couple the strife and i are from chelmsford and basildon respectively. good on yer for buying and look forward to you retiring here and making up the numbers. hope you support west ham?
