Title: Fethiye Shops
Post by: ronzk1 on February 19, 2008, 22:00:56 PM
We started shopping for goods for our new house last Tuesday 12th feb. We went first to the Beko electrical shop just along from the HSBC bank where we bought a fridge, washing machine, dishwater, hob, oven, stonegrill and a televison. Although it was a Beko supplier we bought Arcelik goods except for the tv which was Beko. The guy said that he would have to source the Arcelik goods and would get them as soon as possible for us. From there we looked for a corner unit sofa and finally found one we liked in the Seray shop. We then went to Erin spot and bought 4 single and 1 king size beds, headboards, 6 bedside cabinets and a chest of drawers.
We finished shopping at 2 pm and by 5 pm everything had been delivered and installed in the house except for the stone grill which came 2 days later. The service we had was fantastic and would never have happened here in Scotland where you can wait 3 months for a sofa to be delivered!!!
Our shops could learn a lot from the Turkish shopowners!!!

I am embarrassed to ask, but what is a stone grill?

And if Tinkerman comes back with a grill made out of stone, I'll ban him :D

I had no idea either but there was a space for one cut in the worktop in the kitchen. Its like an indoor barbeque where you heat stones in a tray and you can cook food on a grill above them. They said we could have had a deep fat frier instead.

I'm still not much wiser [:o]

If they cut a hole in your worktop for it, ask them to give you back the bit they cut out, according to Tinx's link you would then have a free stone grill :D

My rule of thumb is budget £1000 for the number of bed rooms and you will not go far wrong - but it does depends on your taste. (ie 3 bed apartment can be fully furnished for £3000.

Hi Milorni, we got one king size bed and mattress, 4 single beds and mattresses and wrought iron headboards for them all for £900. The chest of drawers and 6 bedside cabinets cost in total £250. All good quality stuff. Had the best sleeps for ages in the new bed!!!
Service was great.

Our two bedroomed apartment cost us around £4000 to furnish but this was all light fittings, air conditioning in each room, etc supplied and fitted, also top notch patio furniture and a lounge suite to die for - really good prices available if you can shop around. Anyway, this aside, we were thinking of coming out for a couple of weeks in May and I wondered if there was anyone who would like to give us advice on where is good to go for families.

May be better to start that as a new topic - it won't get much of a response in a topic called Fethiye shops.

I did not include air conditioning or top notch furniture but I expect I do need to revise my guestimate a bit - but I would still think you can do it for £1250 per bedroom. TB
