Is it me - am I getting old?
Is Brucie one of the last of the great all round entertainers?
So many of the "modern" comedians seem to set their stall out to get cheap laughs or set out to shock.
I went to see Chris Farlowe a few years ago and he told the story of working in a pub in the east end when all the power went off - so the landlord said "do it without the mike" - he then went on to sing what he sang that evening with no mike and no backing - and sounded absolutely fantastic!
OK I am getting old :(
