Title: Transferring Sterling into Turkish Bank Account
Post by: mariam on February 29, 2008, 20:54:18 PM
HI,

We need to pay our site maintenance fees and therefore have to transfer STERLING into our Management Agents Turkish Account (Finans bank). It will only be for a small amount £400.

There seems to be many ways, so thought I'd ask if any of you have transferred small amounts like this recently, and if so who would you recommend.

Many thanks
Mariam

For a small amount you should take it with you (if you`re going over) or ask somebody to take it over for you and pay it into your Management Agents account.

Thankyou for your reply.

Unfortunately we will not be going over until May, and we have no family or friends visiting in the near future, so our only option is to transfer the money over.

Thankyou
Tim & Maria   :)

Ask your bank to do it for you - it will cost about £20 in fees depending on who you bank with. It is a painless thing to do as long as you have all the information.

We have used Nationwide to transfer the money, over shall just have to wait and see how much Finans bank charge to receive it.

We alway use our Nationwide card for the cash point, but unfortunately this was a payment that was sprung upon us.

Many thanks to all the replys
