I see standards have slipped since I went to the UK  ;)

Manchester was quite nice, apart from the rain, hail, wind and noise. Are they trying to break the World record for total number of discarded  chewing gums in one city's pavements?

I'm going up there Saturday to watch the mighty Pompey beat the Man Utd minnows in the cup, so hope the hail and wind have gone.  I'll not be bothered by the noise at Old Trafford as I think they are the quietest home crowd I've ever heard

Certainly,from my experience while I was filming for Grandstand and Football Focus,they were not only the noisiest but also the funiest ! Programmes " free pahnds" and " play up Pompey !! Good luck on Saturday!
