Apart from the obvious (I hope it will be a busy one etc) - what would you wish for in 2008 for Calis?
I wish that I could get through a whole season without hearing tourists being bloody rude to the guys who go round selling the mats, perfume, flowers and the like.
They are great guys, love a bit of banter and don't over hassle. Hearing people telling them to get lost (or worse) makes me sick - these guys have to put food on the table too.

I would have to agree with Stuart on the litter thing,if only litter could not be left just anywhere and also putting it in the dustbins helps as opposed to on the ground somewhere in the region of the dustbins!...

I wish that Calis and surrounding areas don't get too English and too comercial ( if you know what i mean) For example I love to hear Turkish Music as I walk along the beach front, I love to see Turkish foods on the menu. I don't like to see the place I love turn into Blackpool with it's Kareoki, Egg n Chips, Boom Boom house English music etc. I hope Turkey holds onto it's Turkish charm.

For it not to be as hot as it was last June when were next over
To met up with Jukebox
Not to hear any more older woman "horror" stories
To get home early just one night.
To shake Scunner by the hand
To be more adventurous and try more Traditional Turkish dishes
To avoid jewellers
To see and hear less of obnoxious youngers being rude to waiters and trying to barter over the price of food and drink
To go on a CBF members boat trip and to attend one of their nights out.
That should be do to be going on with. Ta

Your post made me feel rather fortunate as myself and Mrs B met with some of the guys you mentioned,and hopefully this year we will meet up (we are out in June & Sept).The CBF night on wednesdays looks sorted so members only have to turn up.
We had to shake Scunners hand after he sold us our apt ;)

My wish for 2008 is for me to be able to pick up some basic turkish language. I will be over 4 times between now and October so here's hoping!!! It will make my place in the sun even more special in the future if I can speak basic lingo.

We are out for a week beginning 12 May. Is there a CBF night that week? We are staying at Mutlu and I read somewhere that the get together was in a bar next to the hotel.

I bet at least 3 of those wont happen if we are there the same time, you wont get in early, and the older woman horror story will be about trying to drag me out of Scarlett in the early hours!!
