Hi Elaine
Thanks for info re Uzumlu / birds.
I will have to purchase a putt-putt bike to get around, as I am not fit enough to cycle (up-hill anyway) any more. So long as I can carry Bino's, Camera, reference books and refreshment cooler bag I will be as happy as a p*g in s**t  !
regards
farmer

be careful not to go anywhere near military complexes or you might get some free accomodation, or even a free plane ticket.plus the fact the birds on the beach are better [feathered ones of coarse].

Well done Farmer, but what's wrong with Weston Favel? I mean Calis aqua park isn't a patch on Billing Aquadrome, and Weston Favel shopping centre has just had a brand new extension as well.
And what about the access to the M1? it's so close you can smell the fumes.
I don't know there is just no pleasing some people.

Cheers Big Ears

Perry  ;)

Farmer. WE went to Uzumlu on the dolmus,, from Fetyhe, lovely ride there. Just went about 50mtrs from the square, by a river (culvert) we sat in a field & we watched all sorts of birds, peacefull, beautiful views (fell in love with the place), well worth a trip. Hopefully we shall find other good birding areas, will let you know! People don't realise what they are missing by not going to see nature, it's not just about birds but the seeing of the wild life, be it animals, insects, plants, even people in there environment, it is so special. Had a lovely pide in the square & yogurt drink. All this & it only costs a few £s. Where can you get such good value!! certainly not in the UK. Elaine
