Would anyone know where I can get some sewing done.
Bringing over two bed sets and the valance sheets are too long for Turkish beds. Anywhere, calis or fethiye and done within the week please.

There are lots of places around the fish market and on the one way street out of Fethiye. We have collecte the next day

There is a fantastic lady in the shop opposite the Shine, just after Aries Hotel, Very cheap, and also fantastic dress maker, or should I say her son is; if you go in with a picure they can make a replica of any outfit you want.

on the subjest of sewing, does anyone know where I could get some embroided badges made?
-
shamless,do you mean past the aries hotel on your way to fethiye before the waterpark.
Will I have trouble explaining or do they speak English?
-
That's the one Suzi Q... she used to be in Hisaronu and I got loads of things made by her a few years ago there.
She's ok at understanding (she may be better now it was some time that I went, and my Turkish was minimal then)... but a picture always helps

Her hubby is usually there and he speaks fairly good English

hi SuziQ,
The guy who is by the waterpark is great, we have used him the last 2 years for making clothes while we are there on holiday, and is work is very good and efficient, his english is good enought to always understand me!!! an Essex girl!!!!!!

Hi Suzi Q, yes thats the one, the woman does not speak english, but her son speaks a little, but even so they managed to communicate with me, and understood what I wanted. She is making my wedding dress, its not a big elaborate one, it is a simple "tasteful" little thing (well not so little), I will model it for anyone who is there in September. 8)

Can l presume that she does alterations to clothing as well as doing stuff from scratch. Have bought a dress and want the sleeves taken out to make it sleeveless

There's a fantastic little old man in Gunlukbasi that does alterations - Reasonable prices & if you take it in in the morning he could have it done by the evening, he's excellent!
His shop is not very noticeable but its just before the supermarket, not far from the cake shop
-
thats the same one i go to makes a great job of alterations
-
Dont know gunlukbasi very well, is it near the turning for Uzumlu?
-
if your coming from Fethyie go past the turning and you'll find him on the left hand side of the road nearer to the turning for Calis
-
