I have been a "spectator" of this site for 3 yrs now and have found it very amusing/annoying/helpful and funny. I already own 3 properties in Turkey and am obviously interested in all the information the Turkey forums reveal online.I have only just decided to actually introduce myself to this forum as I am now the final stages of buying a property in the Calis area which will make my 4th property in Turkey.I look forward to whatever input and output I can get from all you Calis loving people....Jono

Thank you all for the welcome.
Stoop. Not sure I could teach that much to all you Calis veterans. But in your case and reading about your insurance company problems I would maybe advise you to bite the bullet as they say and accept their decision. Looking at your photos I could not really see much damage even though the photo from the outside showed the water level was about a foot high.It did not really show that on the inside though at all on the walls. The kitchen unit photo was also puzzling in that a piece of the kitchen door laminent was on the floor. How could water have made just that once piece come away from just one door? NO I am not an insurance assessor but I have dealt with a few so know what they do look for.One other thing I am wondering is this. Is your property in a complex that does tend to get flooded and has it been flooded before? If so this could have a bearing on the reason they are unwilling to payout. I did have a similar problem a few years ago with an insurance firm in the Uk.But as soon as I threatened to take it further they agreed to have the work done. Sadly Stoop your insurance is in Turkey and its different as I do know.I hope you do get it sorted out but I dont think you will get much joy over this one. jono
