Title: Calis Bridge
Post by: philrose on May 22, 2008, 06:30:26 AM: Work was well underway yesterday in refurbishing the Calis bridge. New wooden railings and new steel floor for the footbridge were being put into place, so no more danger of falling through into the river!

Post by: GordonA on May 22, 2008, 17:27:00 PM: Just been in Calis, the bridge is almost completed, well the right hand side as you approach the beach area. It is being surfaced with thick wooden slats, over a NEW metal framework, with really chunky wooden handrails, Loz will add photos later, but looks really good, not before time though!!

mind u you need a ladder to get up some of them.

Erm no, not particularly :D Using my expertise I can probably tell you how many years you can expect the wood to last before it goes rusty ;)
