Does anyone know if a coach service runs from Fethiye to Antalya. If so does it run from the main bus station and how frequently ? Also how much does it cost and would it drop you near the old town in Antalya ? Lastly, do you have to pre-book and how can I find out the times ?
Lots of questions !!
Thanks

Several companies run out of the main otogar so there is no shortge. Fethiye Seyahat run at 0630 0800 0930 1100 1145 1230 1415 1645 2000 0100
I think the fare was about 18ytl each way but not 100% :)sure You can prebook or on the bus. :)

How long does the journey take and does anyone know if the coach goes past Antalya down to Alanya and if so does it stop in Side.

Tribalelder, are these times and prices the same out of season (ie early November)? We are over end of October just for a week and want to fly back on 2nd November, probably from Antalya, as the flights for four of us are about £300 cheaper than flying from Dalaman (expensive in winter!). Would these buses be running at that time, and would we need to book? Could save a fortune. Have been quoted £100 for a private transfer for four of us from Calis to Antalya airport. Thanks for your help, Julie

No Jules, Turkish people have to make their way around the country during the summer months only ;)

The way the price of oil is rocketing upward I could not even guarantee next weeks fares, There has been one increase this year but normally there is no difference in winter or summer prices. :)

The journey takes around 4.5hours over the mountain route, including a "comfort" break, more by the coaatal route & goes to the Otogar in Antalya. From there you need to get a dolmus or taxi to the old town area, no doubt you'd also be able to get another bus to Alanya & Side.

The last time i went by coach it cost 20tl and took 4hrs coming back, it was the same price going as well, but it took a bit longer to get there, it was snowing in the mountains. Alan

The easiest way to get your answers is to go to the otogar.
There are several companies with the large coaches which run to Antalya. For example Pamukkale coache times are 13.00hrs,14.30hrs and 03.00hrs. The journey takes about 3.5 hours the comfort break is about 1.5 hrs out of Fethiye the bus stops for around 20 mins. the cost will be about 20 lira. These companies provide service buses and will take you close to the city centre. Failing that the Belediye buses run form the otogar. Number 93 and I think the number 95 (the destination board will include Dedeman and Lara) will take you to the city centre the cost is 1 lira.
Alternatively there are the small buses.Fethiye Koop and Antalya Koop. These buses run very frequently during the middle if the day almost hourly. The journey with these can take between 3.75 hours and 4.25 hours. depending on how many times it has to stop en route. The cost is 16 lira.
Non of these buses or coaches take you to city centre but they do have, free, service buses to the city centre.
In both cases tell the driver you want to be dropped of near Kaleici, this is the old part of the city with a small harbour.
It is better to book your tickets in advance. The buses and coaches are often full nowadays. You can book for both the coaches and smaller buses.
