Title: Some Calis Carnivial Photos

Calis was absolutely packed, never ever seen it so busy, for a first carnival absolutely brilliant, WELLDONE to all involved, especially Pete and Chrissie (Squiffy & Pi$$y)

I have just checked and the slide show works, but you can choose to view album and see static photos with the details captions,

Post by: janmack on June 08, 2008, 02:12:56 AM: It really was a good day and I forgot to bring my camera..dipstick. Parade was fun, loved the pirate float and Elvis limo, very well done and witty! The local kids seemed to enjoy their first experience of a canival.
End of night concert was fab, especially the band who always played in Alladins last year, (we are hopeless with names so do not ask!) We could have listened to them all night!
Well done to Chrissie and Pete for making it happen.

By the way, Janmack, if you mean the group with the slim girl singer, they are called ,'PANZEHIR', used to get me up to sing ' Lay Down Sally' every week,last season!! The second Turkish group played at Aladdin Bar before them, as well.

Post by: Cavfan on June 16, 2008, 12:55:18 PM: Loz- fab photos and cant believe it was only a litle over a week ago that we saw it happen! What a great day it was and the week leading up to it too! We've never seen Calis prom so packed either it was an amazing atmosphere. The Carnival committee should be rightly proud of what they pulled off and no doubt knackered too!

To be honest, seeing all the kids looking so happy in their costumes and seeing them marching proudly up the front brought a little tear to my eye. In all my years of coming to Calis I've never seen so many people here.

To anybody who lifted a finger to get this off the ground and to help make it become the success it was, I salute you for your efforts ! 8) 8) 8)
