Hi everyone,
I have just joined this forum this evening, my name is Shirley and I live in North Wales.
My boss has a villa in Calis he has give me all the information on it and it sounds lovely, am trying to persuade my husband to go there next year, as we have already booked a holiday for this year.
we have been to Corfu for the last 2 years and love it there, the people are lovely there and the scenery beautiful.
His villa is on a complex outside of Calis called Villa Gunes in Koca Calis, there are about 4 bars/restaurants there.
I went one year to a private apartment in Spain nr Alicante and we were in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do, really needed a car to get around, and as we dont drive we were isolated. Dont want to be like that in Calis.

Hi Bongo
Welcome to the forum

Hi Bongo,
Koca Calis is much quieter than Calis but not what you would call 'isolated' in the way you described the property in Spain. Also there are good bus links so you wouldn't need to drive. If you like quieter bars there are some good ones in walking distance on Koca Calis beach, and if you want lively, you won't have any problems getting a taxi home. Best way is to ask the staff in the bar/restaurant you are in to phone one - they'll be happy to.
Welcome to the forum :)

Hi Shirley from North Wales
You will absolutely love Calis once you visit. You will be like the rest of us - back over and over again! I'm sure you can talk your husband round (we women know just how to do that, lol.) As Scunner says, you really don't need to drive to get around the area (we don't fancy driving either - we just use the local dolmus service which is really good and very cheap).
Enjoy your holiday this year, and I'm sure we'll see you next year!
