This year we would like to break up or 3 week stay with a small gullet cruise of about 4 days. Interested to know if anyone has done one, what it was like, where you went, costs and who you booked with.
Thanks in advance

Yes we did one last August has a lovely time on a 6 cabin boat.
A good mix of people including 2 families with kids.
from Fethiye to Olympus (we got the bus back) plenty of stops for swimming and fishing too.Saw Dolphins Turtles and a deer.
One drawback couldn't make a cuppa when ever you fancied had to stick to mealtimes and relay on the crew making it.:P

Thanks for the info and the weblink- it looks good. I'm certain that we will do one this year and I don't think the price is half bad but does it get hot on board at night, is it comfortable to sleep?

The cabins do, so you sleep up on deck on the mattresses you use in the day for sunbathing. It can turn into a "communal" sleep though, so make sure you are the sort of person that can cope with this! We have had some hilarious nights on deck over the years, and the noises that a group of people can make in their sleep is quite amazing!

OMG - I have only just seen your response- I am having second thoughts about this whole thing. Firstly I had not even thought about others being on board and how unlucky might possibly be. Worse than that sleeping on one of those matresses with a load of other people and snoring and farts being the only breeze. I am just not sure I am cut out for roughing it like that. A girl needs her luxuries. I think I have been a bit niave with this.

No, I'm not into this "sleeping together" either :-\ I like my own space and privacy at night, lol :)

love to do this but no good for me i snore terrible

The other thing was when we went, they turned off the water and electricity in your cabin while we were cruising so you could only have a shower(a proper shower not one on deck)when the boat had stopped same as flushing the loo.

If you are not the "mixing" type, this is not for you. We have had some of our best ever holidays on gulets, and have the most fantastic memories. I would do one tomorrow if I could. There is nothing stopping you from sleeping in your cabin, but in summer it is unbearable, and I can assure you, communal sleeping on deck (even with the farts and snores) is preferable to the heat of the cabin.

This is a problem, we are the mixing types but I do like a bit of privacy at times and also my comfort and I am not sure that I am up for sleeping on the deck of a boat and this is a bit of a decision we could really love it or we might really hate it. I hadn't really thought long and hard about this so I am certainly glad I asked the question. The jury is out ......

I'm with you Abby, much as I'd love to do the cruise I like my privacy. Maybe this is one for family members only
