Hi folks
Please excuse me if this has been repeated elsewhere just wondered what top ten food items you each would take to Turkey with you, things that you miss and are not sold there.
Will give me a good idea about what I might need to take.
Thanx in advance

In reverse what Turkish food would you like to have in the UK
For me it is their tomatoes and their potatoes. Both taste different to the UK ones and are much better.

We have managed to survive every time we come out to Calis for our two week stints without bringing any food from home. During our stay we don't each Fish & Chips, English Breakfasts or Sunday Roasts. We survive on the lovely fresh food available at the markets and when we eat out we try to eat Turkish Food as much as we can.
It's a wonder we don't go home totally de-ranged.
Jacqui.

Same here if I brought food I would have to cook and it is MY holiday.
We have a villa this year for the first time and my daughter wants a barbie. Her idea she can organise it:D

-
Heather the rules are "dont get caught". Have a lovely holiday with or without your uk bits.
-
We managed to get bacon in most places in Turkey many years ago. Is it really not available in Fethiey

For me there is one thing. I can't believe that all Turkish takeaways sell that crappy elephant's foot of a lump of dubious meat as their best effort.
A pide restaurant with proper pide oven, served with salad and bread made in said oven, would be a winner in the UK - there could quickly be one in every town :)
But then I'm biased...
