Oh, WINDOWS :D
-
Yep me too! thought we'd entered bizaro world for a moment there!
Time to bring back spell check I think!
-
That wouldn't help, widows is correct too :)
Our windows are Firatpen, I had them checked out by Mark the Criminal (window fitting expert and burglar) and he decided they were well fitted. I would however recommend a secondary source of security in all cases - bars, deadlocks or alarm.

I thought it was one of those post advertising p0rno films!

I used to joke that I'd bring Mark around to test windows, for £25. We did a few properties together (for free, I promise) and it was astonishing. Mark knows double glazing inside out and getting from outside in was child's play in most cases. I'm talking a badly fitted window being opened in about 3 seconds. Please find a second form of security for your windows.

I've got windows on my computer and it keeps going down on me

I went to check on my sisters apartment in Ovacik yesterday to unfortunately find that her terrace door had been forced open by intruders. Although it would seem that little force was actually required. The door bowed so much when a screw driver was leaverd between it and the frame that the locks just popped from the frame. Hubby fitted some deadlocks to secure the place, and we did make other owners on the site aware of the problem as i'm sure one of them will be next.
If buying new windows and doors check the strength of the materials...does it bow easily. Can the glass be taken out easily by removing the rubber seal? Can their hinges be removed from the outside? All these have been methods used by intruders in this area.
Get dead locks fitted. They are a cheap addition, and could save on a lot of grief.
Thankfully nothing was taken from my sisters apartment, but it was a horrible, sickening thing to find.
