The owners at "The Green Valley Complex" are holding a Fancy Dress Pool Party on Friday 29th August 2008. It starts at 7.00pm - and tickets are being sold @ just 5 YTL each. Under 12's FREE. We are giving prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Best costumes / ideas - and we are holding a raffle also. Once expenses have been deducted - any money left over will be donated to F I G (Fethiye International Group).
This was the brainchild of one owner - and is being supported by other owners at the complex. If you are in - or around Green Valley at this time - please come and join us - as we would love to meet you! You need a ticket though - as without - entrance will be denied!!!!! Tickets can be obtained from Ayhan @ Green Valley. If you cannot contact Ayhan - please email me - and I will sort out tickets for you...... We aim to make it a great night - and all are welcome!!!! Hope to see you there!!!!

To be honest - all owners have been advised of this forthcoming event via email and personal contact. Scunner - no owners will be denied access to their own homes!!! xxx. This is a fun night!! We cannot see anyone there not wanting to taking part when they see what we have planned! If there are renters there at the time, who do not want to participate - I am sure they will understand, as they will have been advised firstly by the owners renting out to them. If they do not want to take part - they will have it explained to them nearer the time - that this is a fundraising event & it is a ticket only 'do'. We have arranged for security (through our management team) to make sure that no-one is allowed entry into the complex without a ticket!!! Owners & renters ofcourse will already be inside the complex!! We were there 20th June - til 5th July - and having discussed it with the management team - they are all for it! Many of the staff have bought tickets!
We have received quite a good response so far. We have even had owners who cannot make it out the GV - offering to make generous donations to the cause!!!!
If anyone does not want to take part - it is their choice - but it is 'our complex' - and we are arranging a fun night to raise money for a good cause in the process!
We will know who the owners and renters are - and we do not anticipate there being a problem. There are also notices up in the restaurant - advising everyone what is going on!

Also - it is a great - no FANTASTIC chance to get to meet our lovely neighbours outside of the complex and to show what great hosts we are!!!!

PS - Bruce - shame you and Brenda will not be there !!! We missed you both this visit - oh and tell Brenda - I demolished a bottle of Morgans Spiced whilst there and thought of her with every sip!!! xxx

No Telsoo it is not compulsory!!! We would just love to see you there!
It does have a theme admittedly - and yes there are prizes to be given for the best costume - or ideas! (bearing in mind - we are not expecting anyone to come dressed as a penguin, soldier or teddy bear in that heat!) - The more scantilly dressed the better (without being crude!) - simplicity - and an imagination is all that is needed! hahahaha It is just an excuse for a get-together - meet the neighbours - and just have a bloody good time! Also in the process raise some money for one of the local charities in Fethiye / Calis .....
I can arrange for ??? tickets to be on the gate for you - if that's ok - and pay on the night. Let me know!

Just under 6 weeks for the big night guys!
Went looking today for fancy dress stuff today - think Steve and I are sorted!
It should be a good night - and we are lucky enough to have the best "barperson" on the complex - eh Ayhan?

Hahahahaha - you certainly have a great imagination Amanda. I bet poor Ayhan is blushing now at this! hahahaha. Angela & I have suggested one thing to him - but we will have to wait and see if he does it. All I can say is it will be simple to do - definitely not expensive - and it will be cool for him! I am saying no more!
Ayhan - what do you think? I think we should keep it under wraps - and part of the fun will be waiting to see what your fancy dress costume is!!!

Hi Ian & Tricia! Thankyou! It is a real shame you will miss it - but the chances are if this is a success - we may even do another night but with a different theme! Whenever you are there - pop up to the bar @ Green Valley - and say hi to anyone there anyway! The welcome mat is always out! Ayhan is always there - wearing his lovely smile - as Amanda so rightly says! Seriously though - whenever you are out there - whichever owners are "in residence" - they will always welcome you there!
Amanda, Bruce & Brenda - and quite a few others on here will verify that one!
Especially me! I make sure that I let anyone coming into the complex know who I am! hahahahahaha. I am a proper little socialite me!
We have had many a night in the restaurant "socialising" hahahaha.... eh Bruce?

I learned yesterday (believe it was Ayhan that spoke to my wife) that the party has been moved to saturday 30th.
Is this correct as there has been no mention of it here.....????

Hi Chewy- can't help i'm afraid-however Ayhan normally has Tuesdays off so it may have been Durmus she spoke to and he may not be the best person. I would suggest either go back to the complex and ask for Ayhan, Angela or Carol. You could email Ayhan - he is a member of the forum "Green Valley Ayhan". If it had changed dates I would imagine it would be posted on here as it was advertised on here. Best of luck.

I've been to see Ayhan today and he says the party has definitely been moved to Saturday 30th at 7pm.

We came in but the bar area was being used for the singer, with everyone else around the pool which we decided wasn't safe for our little monster!!!

In my defense - I knew nothing of the date being changed either!!!! I can tell you I was not happy when I found out either - as it had been me putting all the info on here doing all the promotional stuff - and I feel grossly emabarrassed at the fact that no-one told me - for me to tell all on here!!!
It was Angela & Ayhan that were organising it - I just did as I was told and bought all the raffle prizes from the UK - and eventually sold all the tickets on the night!
When we arrived at GV - it was 3 days into our holiday that we were told the date had changed from the 29th to the 30th. All the posters still had the 29th on - so I had no reason for questioning a change of date. When I found out I asked Ayhan to get on the CBF and inform everyone. He obviously did not - and I can only apologise and grovel to you for not being informed as you should have been. I am so embarrassed about this - and Amanda and Terry will be able to back me up on this!
I am so sorry that you did not stay and enjoy the night with us. I am not sure how young your little one is - but feel sad to think that the seating arrangements did not comply. To be honest - I would have also been a little aprehensive with a youngster ..... but we could have moved a table to be quite a distance away from the pool. The pool was lit up - but I can understand your concerns.
Never mind eh - we can meet up next time.
