Here I was, gazing out the window at sunny Scotland, and I thought of a topic. It may be rubbish, but let's see :D
If CBF provided 6 members for a Big Brother competition, and you were one, who would you choose as your 5 other housemates [:o]
And possibly, which 5 would you dread : :)

We took the girls to feed the ducks yesterday, hundreds of your common mallards and just one little b*****d who wasn't. Now the kids want to know what what type of duck he is. How the hell do I know :D

A swan

In my experience the duck that most resembles a swan is actually a swan.

Ok
It is slimmer than a mallard, white and light grey of the body with an orangey head. It's bill is quite slim and pointed, unlike a mallard with it's wide flat bill. Also, in bread throwing events, it is far more aggressive than a mallard.

No I didn't say little, I said little b******d which is different. Not a cygnet no, I recognise those. And they don't have pointy beaks and orangey heads do they. About the same size as a mallard, but sleeker.

It's a slim, white and light grey with an orangey head narrow bill duck, quite a rare specimen, distant relative of the same duck with a wide bill:D

It had a less roundy head and a bit sticky up feathers upon it. And a much thinner more pointed beak :D

Nope, I had a shag in the back garden once so I'd know another one. I took my camera and would you believe it, all the mallards are there and Mr orange plumes has gone. He was there yesterday honest. It's in the boat lake at the South Inch Heather, or rather, it isn't.

1. Scunner - to find out more about what living in Turkey is like in more detail.
2. Laffa - I could look at that smile all day, but also to get to know the real Maureen.
