The walk in Uzumlu on Sunday is in the hills overlooking Uzumlu.
Meet at the Camlik at 11.30am and then we will convoy to a start point nearby.
After the walk, about 1 1/2 hrs, with some uphill, some flat and some downhill with fantastic views, we will then all go back to the Camlik to eat and have drinkies.
Good shoes are advised but not too hard a walk. Bring some water.
Some fools run it others fast walk and lots stroll!
More info about Fethiye Hash House Harriers go to web site

A drinking club with a walking problem : :)
All are welcome to join the Hash. We have members from all over the area usual numbers are 40 plus.
Hope to see lots of newcomers for a great walk.

I would dearly love to come on these walks unfortunately this one clashes with the Chelsea v Liverpool game, if it had been any other game I would have been there. When and where is the next one?

ps. just looked at the website looks great and we will join in, the word run occurs quite a bit?:D

Every fortnight we meet up for the walk. I will let you know about the next one and hope it doesn't clash with the footie (pretty poor excuse seeing as footie is not on at 9.30am in the UK ;))
Run...not a word I understand myself :D

It does clash with the Calis Beach Car Boot Sale this weekend though.:D
-
I think most of us can find something it clashes with, whatever the date. I'm prepared to scour the internet for National holidays and religious festivals that can give me an excuse :D

I am a "hasher" having become a member elsewhere, sometimes running a bit, but lots of walking, and these days - injured - almost always walking. on our recent visit to our house in Uzumlu my son and I went twice to the hash, had great walks (he ran, and got lost on the second one - perhaps this more likely to happen if you're so keen on being up at the front!), enjoyed good scenery, saw new bits of Calis, and were able to chat on the walk/run to folk like Baz plus others who come from further afield. Only sorry not to be there for this coming one in Uzumlu and am sure Fi and Eric will have laid a good trail. It's an ideal opportunity for people to get over "uzumluphobia" perhaps! Have fun! Sorry Fi walk kicks off at 11.30 footie 13.30, bit of a rush ;)
I've even been out and bought myself a pair of Merrells now:D ;)

OK, 11.30 (bearing in mind the clocks went back, eh)

Just back from the hash, and another good one, I hope Rindaloo and family enjoyed it and will be back for the next one.
Lamb Tandir at the Camlic was excellent, as was the meze and "shredded wheat":D desert. Alec you did us proud, Thank you, also thanks to our hares Fi & Eric.
I was allowed into Uzumlu and escaped without detection:D:D:D ;), border patrol very lax. ;). Looking forward to next time, which I believe will be soon ;).
Well Tinx and Scunner are you men enough to join us for one, or are the oldies too tough for you.:D:D:D

Apart from the fact my knees have gone into shock, we had a smashing time. You lot are crazy. -I mean that in the nicest way. I have made a note in my diary about the next time (will avoid it like the plague) (no, only joking). ;)
Thanks to you all for making us so welcome. The meal was lovely, and much appreciated. Thanks Alec.
Now we are members, do we get a songsheet? Car sticker? T shirt???? :P
Wondering where I can get my walking clothes reinforced in the buttox region. I mean, seeing as I have discovered sliding on my posterior is a useful tool for descending steep slopes.... :-\

Tinx :o :o :o :o:D

Hi Rindaloo. Nice to have met you and your family. We hope you enjoyed yourselves and hope to see you on our next walk.

So glad you enjoyed it Rindi and I hope someone captured on film the steep slope slide on your posterior... I wondered why you looked so flushed after descending from the flag summit ;)
It was a bonus that only 1 person of the 40+ walkers had already been to Hectors tomb so it was a bit of a cultural walk (well as much as a Hash can be):D
Alec food was fabulous, many thanks and with over 30 of us saying the same thing you must be doing something right ;):D
See all you Hashers in 2 weeks for more of the same.
Now I can rest my weary body...aahhhh
