As the season of goodwill to all men and false bonhomie approaches, the usual glut of Christmas records will be trotted out.
There are some wonderful Christmas records , especially the old stuff by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald , old Bing etc however it drives me mad to constantly have to listen to the following records year after year after year after flaming year:
Merry Xmas everybody - Slade ( Hate it with a passion )
Do they know it's Christmas - Band Aid ( How bizzare to listen to a record about starving people as you throw as much food and ale down your gobs as you can at some xmas party!)
Stop the cavalry - Jona Lewie ( a plodding dirge and a chorus that eats into your brain all day long)
I could go on but i'll give others the opportunity to have there two penneth. :o
