Took the afternnon off to go xmas shopping. Stopped off in Hawkins Bazaar for a few stocking fillers. As it was I only found one item marked up at £1.99. When I got to the till I was asked for £1.99. "Oh are your prices shown after the VAT reduction" I asked. "No we are doing things differently here at Hawkins Bazaar madam, I am giving you a voucher for 15% off all purchases between January and March next year". "Given that I have only managed to find one thing worth buying in the shop I find it unlikely that I will be returning within a year let alone between January and March I will take my refund now thanks". Nick looked at my with incredulity as did the guy in the shop."But It will mean doing a refund" "Carry on then" I said. I got my refund and promptly put it in the Marie Currie collection tin on the counter.
