Hi Folks

We are John & Linda and we bought an apartment in Calis, in 2008. We live in the UK and visited Turkey in March, May September and November last year. We are already booked to travel out again, in March and September this year.

We picked up lots of very useful tips during the apartment search and kitting out stages and we are very grateful for that but have had some difficulty registering as forum members. All sorted now, thanks to Keith.

We look forward to taking part in the forum and hopefully to meeting up with some members from time to time.

Welcome to the forum John and Linda.  You'll find loads of useful (and useless!) information on here.   :)

Congratulations on buying your place in the sun.  Where in Calis is your apartment/villa?  We have an apartment in Gunlukbasi, near the football stadium.  Just wish we could afford to spend more time there!  One day ....................  !  :P

Hi again folks.

Thanks for the welcome. In reply to Julia's question (I don't know if I can reply to an individual on this forum?), we are on the beach side of the main road, not too far from The Seril Hotel and the beach.

I'm afraid I have no idea where the football stadium is in Gunlukbasi. I have only been through the main street there, mostly on the dolmus and they don't hang about along that part of the route.
