There have been issues between these two for over a year from what I can gather, the problems can show in many different ways, a common one is either no sound/picture at either end. The Logitech webcam we have now seems to have found the solution; in it's current 3.8 version the faults are still there, if you download the Beta 4 version, all is fixed.
Whilst we are new to Skype, I trust this will help those who have the same webcam and Vista issues. 8)
