Post by: Kath on August 27, 2004, 11:30:21 AM: I'm Kath, my parnter's Steve. We became owners (yesterday) of a Telmessos property. (We bought from Lagoon Estates who have been great so far). We'll be arriving in Calis on 18th Sept for a 10 day holiday - can't wait!! We will spend most of our days scubadiving - if there are any divers reading, can you recommend favourite dive sites?

I've only previously spent 48 hours in Calis so I'm looking forward to getting to know people and finding my way around (particularly the bars) k

We also have become new owners and will be going out on the 6th sep for 3 weeks. We havnt bought on telmessos but nr to the golden moon hotel. the Bus stop will be the bar to meet people from this forum.
wenesday eve's seems to be the fav time.
We may get to meet you as we will still be here when you arrive.

we bought on Telemssos through Lagoon and they were fine,we are in No.87,Graham and Julie will be there from 17/9 and Pauline and I will be there from 24/9.

My wife and I also bought from Lagoon (well actually are in the process of) and found Ahmet, Sylvia and the gang majic people.

We are anxiously waiting for the property to be completed in May so that we can 'escape' from the UK drudgery

Expectwe will revisit Fethiye long before then though

Good luck and maybe we will meet up once all are sttled

We are at the same end of Calis as you but not quite as far. Sinbad is a diver but he has been very quiet recently both on and off the forum - he may be in Turkey.

Tinkerman: How easy was it to get the furniture you wanted? Did you manage to haggle for any bargains?

When we were out there buying in June, the big pool was being repaired - is it all up and running now?

We dont own a property at Telmessos but we have sold several so we are always down there having a beer on our customers balconies.

on the subject of furniture, it really is a matter of choice,there are several places to go to and reccomended on the site,we got ours from erin spot,beds,bed settees,wardrobes,fridge,washing machine,microwave and lots of other bits and peices, it was delivered on the same day and fitted where needed,about £1200 the lot.

We bought 'off plan' from Ahmet at north end of of Calis. A beach complex (partially built) right on on the shore.

I am not too familiar with Calis as it was our first visit to Turkey but am familiarising myself from this end through the forum

I expect that we will be back over (job permitting) before the end of the year

Im assured that SAS Daving in Calis is good.
