Title: Safety?

We have recently brought an apartment in Tasyaka and myself and my husband are unable to get out there together until September. I have a week off work in May and am considering coming to Fethiye for the week on my own - my question is how safe is it for a woman on her own - being on holiday i would like to eat out a couple of times and wonder round the Tuesday market etc but would probably not go out at night on my own and would be hiring a car.

Post by: amanda bullock on April 26, 2009, 20:51:02 PM: hi Tracy,i go out with the kids without my hubby,a couple of times a year.I've always found it ok,but i know quite a lot of people now.Just keep your wits about you and think safe!Don't let your guard down where money and trust are concerned.I would tend to stay in busy areas as well with plenty of people about.have fun.cbf have a weekly meet on a wednesday in calis at Dawn beach bar where you would find some friendly faces.

Post by: puma on April 26, 2009, 21:32:44 PM: i went out for a week on my own and was a bit scared. but i bit the bullet and went, 1st night every noise kept me awake ,but next night and thereafter i was fine went out and about during the day no-one bothered me

We are out on the 16th May for 10 days. Tall grey haired bloke, little scots woman, blonde women (in a wheelchair) + two hyperactive blonds teenage girls. Stop and say hello if you see us out and about - I dare you! :)

just watch out when you been out at night
i think you talk to more people when your on your own
if you get bored just walk away
take plenty of dvds to watch and get a bottle of your favorite drink to sup
enjoy your new home.
