Do you have to have residency to get health care insurance ,i now live here and have not got residency yet if i do that is .i have ins number and every thing else.

According to our insurance contact in Turkey if you do not have a residence permit in Turkey then the insurance companies will not pay out as you are not a resident.
Most compnaies sell you the insurance, health, travel etc and take your money but you will have problems if you have to claim. This clause is under general exclusions.
Ask to see the exclusions and have them officially translated and if an agent tells you different get it in writing from the head office that you do not have to be officially resident to qualify. Again get this translated before parting with any money.
