Title: Can you still get a shave?

The last time we were in Turkey (some time ago!) I had the most remarkable experience with a turkish shave. Shaved with a cut throat 3 times, all excess facial hair from ears, nose etc burnt off with a giant cotton bud, facial massage and shoulder massage all for about £2! The shave was that close I didn't need to shave myself for about 3 days!!

Is there somewhere in Calis that does something similar that you can recommend?

Go up to gunlukbasi lots of barbers there and good prices

Timmy, same happened to me in Dalyan last year, hadn't had a shave for a couple of days then went past a barbers and as there was no-one in decided to give it a go. Had the shave whilst a young "apprentice" massaged my arms. When I went outside it felt like i'd just stepped out of a sauna. Then took my father-in-law and he was treated to a threading of his excess hair with a piece of cotton before the burning of his neck hair with a taper. Absolutely brilliant experience recommend to everyone.

Yes, you can get a shave in most areas of both Fethiye and Calis.  I personally never bother taking a razor with me.  Far easier and nicer to go out for a shave!

Is Gunlukbasi an area of Calis or a street? Can anyone recommend a specific barber, or are they all ok?

Something that is fab when you come to Turkey,boy do they spoil you with a shave.My experience,all barbers I have used are gr8,and take immense pride in the art.Off for one now,can almost smell me nasal hair dissapearing.Enjoy.

      Gunlukbasi  "high street" is on the Dalaman to Fethiye main road and there are plenty of barbers to choose from.I use the one opposite Sekins restaurant,Gunlukbasi barbers and i think a haircut and shave is about 10 lira.This is the only one i have used but there are sure to be others who have their preferred one.
