Hi all Im Bridgette and off to calis beach club e at end of July, we were supposed to be going to icmelar but had to change at last minute and to be honest am a little disappointed. However have heard great reviews about calis beach :)If anyone has been to club e recently and could comment on the food and rooms or anything else that would be very much appreciated.

Thank you in advance Bridgette

Welcome to the forum Bridgette, Ive never been inside but it looks superb from the outside, very nice gardens and very close to town centre and beach, I know a few members have been inside so will get the full review.

Bridgette, you have no need to worry, Calis itself is every bit as friendly as this forum (if not more so!)  ;)

Never been inside Club E, but it always looks lovely when we walk past it.

I'm sure you'll have a great time - and be back again!!

It's lovely - inside too  :) rooms are a good size, pool bar is so tranquil and relaxing, bosses are gentlemen. Location excellent, just back from the front line so quieter.

Lovely place, just one thing that irked me when buying a glass of wine...the glasses were tiny. I spotted a proper standard wine glass and poured my measure into it and it came up to just over half a glass...
I got mine topped up to the standard measure, I am happy to patronise a nice place but please don't insult my intelligence with excuses about what constitutes as a wine glass, just play fair and we're all happy. (Wouldn't dare try that trick on a beer drinker)
Don't be put off, as I said, it really is a lovely place.

Happy holiday

caz

The Harman Hotel used to do that (this was a few years back, don't know about now) - you pay the 'going rate' for a glass of wine and it turns up in a thimble on a stalk. Not a nice memory to take away with you.

just be careful to lock all your valuables in the room safes, my wife had to translate in the gunlukbasi police station last week for a woman who had her jewelrey purse stolen from her room. she had left it in the room behind locked doors etc.there was no sign of break in. she was very upset her grandmothers and mothers wedding rings were amoungst the items stolen. the last i heard were the police were going round to investigate.

Hi Bridgette, there are quite a few West Cumbrians who have villa's and apartments in Calis, and spend a lot of time in the beautiful Calis Beach area.
Hope you have a wonderful time.

yes club e... but could happen anywhere....felt very sorry for the individual as the sentimental items can never be repalced.

Thank you all for your comments, Buddy I live in walney island Barrow, originally from Glasgow.  hope that lady got her things back, maybe an inside job if the doors were locked? or maybe I should not assume that. I will be keeping what little jewelery I have on me :) Does anyone know how much it is in club e to hire a room safe? I am soooooooooo excited about coming here, we had a nightmare with thompsons we orignally booked to go to icmelar but someone we knew went and said the hotel was terrible so ten weeks ago we tried to change hotels, long story short unless we paid another 400 for a 4 star hotel plus 100 for changing hotels we had to accept a b and b which would was 600 less than we paid, and for that priviledge we had to also pay an extra 100. So we ended up choosing calis beach and club e still cost us an extra 100 but I am a great believer in fate and believe things happen for a reason :) so I know I am going to have a great time. Thank you all so very much for your forum and all your help and best wishes to you all. x
