Hi All,  Just back from our first visit to Calis and wanted to thank everyone for the great info you provided prior to our visit.  All the good things you said were true - the people were genuine and lovely, the sunset fantastic, the prices amazingly good etc etc.
We had a great break and cost so much less than Spain - loved Fethiye too.  So thanks for all the practical info about Dolmus, taxis, transfers, markets, exchange rates etc - all very useful stuff  :)

We certainly will be back Anne - just need to find a small villa closer to the beach and one without a problem with bugs in the pool! We were told it was a common problem (tiny black gnats) in the area but we suspect it was more about the filtration system not working 100%.  Such a shame as a lovely villa and the couple looking after it were lovely too but the bugs prevented early morning/late night swims as the hassle of constant netting proved too much and didn't really do any good.  Calis is now firmly added to our list of favourite destinations.

Nice post and what most of us 'Calisites' would have expected. It is certainly a lovely place to go and relax and enjoy your holiday.

nice to hear you had a great holiday, our pool was full of the same bugs, there seems to be more about this year with having a wet winter

Hi Puma,  Did you manage to get rid of the little blighters or are they still keeping you company?
Just watching the sunset here in UK and thinking of Calis sunset......a real pleasure to behold.
