Given all the accolades given to Alper in this forum, I have been trying to contact him via email, regarding setting up some accounts. I have emailed both addresses in his profile but haven't received a response to date.
I understand that Alper is typically very responsive, so I'm wondering if I have breached forum protocol by emailing him or possibly there is a technical issue with the email addresses listed in the profile?
If anybody can set me straight, I will be most grateful, or if Alper sees this, please get in touch.
Thanks

Hi Alper
Thanks for the useful information and I'm really glad that we are now able to communicate. I don't know what the problem is with that email address but at least we found a way round the issue. Your excellent reputation for prompt replies, remains intact.
Thanks again

Some people have jobs to do and don't spend every hour on the forum.
-
I started the topic, so will put the record straight.
Alper and I have been in contact more than once in the past 9 days, via email. This is by my choice and Alper has always answered promptly and thoroughly.
My 'Thankyou' post was to ensure that nobody reading the topic was left with the false impression that the issue was unresolved. The fact that Alper has taken the trouble to publicly acknowledge these comments, simply shows that he's polite, too.

I have also spoken with Alper today - from the UK - he also phoned me back to clarify something after we had spoken.
A person who deserves to succeed.
Ian :)

Just go back to my post it starts LOL
Alper and his wife are very good friend of ours, it was a light hearted joke. I have just spoken to him on the phone he is still laughing.
Alper is without doubt one of the nicest men you could meet, he is brilliant at his job and also has a great sense of humour.

Sorry Alper that I missed you the other day as you were at lunch. Not happy with Garanti as they have mucked up and also tell me that they only guarantee 50k TL on a joint account, whereas other banks say 100k is the norm. Is your bank Belgian owned still or by BNP of France now? and what interest rates are your bank giving presently? I have been told that Zirhaat Bank guarantees all of your money so need to check that also.
