What a rip off. 75 TL for KFC bucket, 25 TL for a Big Mac, 5 TL for a small bottle of water. I know things are generally a tad more expensive but that seems rediculous. [:(!]

One day they'll get the message.

We did need a drink when we were in the Airport last time, and went into the North Shields bar.
Although the drinks were expensive, we thought the food seems quite reasonably prices. Take a look at the menu which is on all the tables, and on a small table outside the place it has all the prices.

I see you refrained from calling it a bargain bucket:D

If I owned a bar/restaurant in Calis I would advertise "Airport Snack Packs". You would pick it up just before taking your transfer. Perhaps the transfer companies could do arrange them too. Would this work? What does everyone think?
-

-

Cafe Pazar also make brilliant filled rolls all packed in foil for taking to airport or indeed beach.
-
I was thinking along the lines of filled rolls, perhaps a few pastries, crisps etc. This could then be accompanied by efes, water, soft drink whatever. I suppose we could all go to the shop and buy these things but somehow it never occurs to me or I can't be bothered :-\

Are there no restrictions the for taking your own food and drink into the airport then? Just thinking of all restrictions we have at the UK airports when we fly out[?]
-
I have heard that Turkey intends to introduce regulations that limit liquids (in the same manner as UK) beginning on 1 August 2009 and that there are signs to this effect at Dalaman Airport. Does anyone have information on this?
-
colwyn the signs are up in the airport, and yes it does come into force on the 1st august
-
In Migros yesterday we noticed they had a prepacked sandwich selection, English style sarnies much like the M and S style in the U.K.
